PRIMARY WING EXCURSION 2022

Close on the heels of all the hard work put in by the teachers and students of the Primary Wing vis-a-vis the Elocution Competition, both were given a well-deserved break in the form of an excursion to Lataguri from the 5th to the 7th of August.

The itinerary for the excursion was as follows:

Day 1 (St. Paul’s School – Lataguri via Mungpoo) – After early lunch The Primary Wing headed for Lataguri on arrival at the Debrani International Resort we were served with high tea. Rooms were allotted adjacent to the swimming pool which was a source of delight for the boys. Unfortunately, due to heavy downpour the boys could not swim.

Day 2 (Lataguri – Coochbehar – Lataguri) – After breakfast they visited the Coochbehar Palace and had lunch at Hotel Yubraj which was sponsored by Nishit Pramanick, Honourable Union Minister of State and family. On their return to Lataguri the boys managed to squeeze in some time at the swimming pool before finally reconvening for dinner.

Day 3 (Lataguri – Bengal Safari at Siliguri – St. Paul’s School) – The boys departed from their overnight halt at Lataguri after breakfast and visited the Bengal Safari in Siliguri. On arrival they were treated to snacks and drinks courtesy Dhiraj Paul and Neil Lahiri’s parents. Among the animals seen at the safari were leopards, Himalayan black bear, tiger, spotted deer, kangaroos, jungle cat and a variety of birds. Lunch was sponsored by Rajveer Mazumdar’s parents at their hotel, “Conclave” in Siliguri. And as all good thing must come to an end, so did the excursion when the vehicles deposited the boys at the school premises.

The general consensus was that the trip although a tad hectic was a welcome one and an enjoyable experience for all.
