Contest against St. Joseph’s School

This year, our school triumphed in securing the prestigious Edinburgh Shield in a thrilling contest against St. Joseph’s School—a victory every Paulite cherishes with profound pride. Electing to bat first, our team delivered a commanding performance, posting a formidable total of 230 runs within their allotted 40 overs. The visiting squad mounted a spirited challenge in response, yet their valiant effort culminated in a 30-run deficit, cementing our hard-fought triumph.

The award ceremony was graced by Rev. Father Micheal Singh, Principal of St. Robert’s School, Darjeeling, who honored the occasion by presenting the shield. In his inspiring address, Rev. Father Micheal Singh lauded the competitive fervor of both teams and emphasized the enduring values of sportsmanship. He eloquently remarked that while victory and defeat are transient facets of sport, the true essence lies in resilience, character, and leadership forged through adversity. “Sports,” he affirmed, “teach us never to surrender—not just on the field, but in life. It is here that young minds learn to rise above setbacks, embody integrity, and lead with humility.”

Following the riveting match, both our senior team and the Under-14 squad—fresh from their own triumphs—were treated to a celebratory luncheon at the renowned Park Restaurant, a testament to their collective grit and excellence.

This remarkable season stands as a tribute to discipline, unity, and the unwavering guidance of our MICs, PTIs, and dedicated coach. Their mentorship has not only sharpened skills but also nurtured the indomitable spirit that defines true champions. As we bask in this success, we look forward to scaling greater heights, carrying forward the lessons of perseverance and grace imparted by leaders like Rev. Father Micheal Singh.
