Hastings staged “Five at the George Rechristened Coincidence”

Hastings staged “Five at the George rechristened Coincidence” ,co-directed by Mr. Sanjive Rai and Mr. David John Cecil – a thriller centered on suspicion, murder, and mystery.

The play revolves around the death of a retired Colonel. Five individuals, all friends of the deceased, receive cryptic invitations to meet at an inn near the scene of the Colonel’s death.

As the five gather, their conversations inevitably focus on the Colonel’s death. They discuss the events of the night he died, trying to piece together what happened. The atmosphere is tense and suspicious, with each suspect harboring their own secrets and motives. Eventually, a careless remark by one of the five inadvertently reveals the killer.

The boys also put on a variety show which mesmerized the audience and was thoroughly enjoyed.

We would like to thank the Hastings boys, tutors, and especially the housemaster, Mr. Birendra Rai, for a highly entertaining evening.
