‘Moniti Meliora Sequamur’

St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling, is one of the oldest educational institutions in the country. Surrounded by lush green hills and overlooking the magnificent Kanchenjunga peak of the Great Himalayan Range. The school was established in 1823 and has stood the test of time successfully. It has been and continues to be a second home for generations of students who are doing well in various walks of life. Hence, it gives me immense pleasure to be a part of this great heritage.

Unity in diversity is one of the key characteristics of the school. Students from various parts of the country and the world live and share their lives in the spirit of true brotherhood. The teaching and non-teaching staff care for the needs of each and every child given into our care, which thereby strengthens the sense of belonging to a family and school fraternity.

Academic excellence is the hallmark of the educational venture at St. Paul’s School. However, along with it, the children are taught the art of living together with much involvement in various value-based social outreach programmes, games and sports, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, which in turn translates to holistic learning and preparation for life beyond school days. Here, the children grow up to become committed and responsible young adults when they graduate.

The school, at present, is moving forward with new educational initiatives in keeping with the changing norms and demands of present day aspirations. Likewise, the hostel accommodation is being upgraded for the greater benefit of the students.

I have personally gained a great deal of satisfaction seeing our students who have graduated from the school, climb the ladder of success in diverse walks of life and live their lives in meaningful pursuit of their ambitions. It is my firm conviction that there will be many more generations of students who will graduate through the portals of this hallowed institution and keep the ‘Maroon and Blue Flag’ flying high by living up to their school motto, ‘Moniti Meliora Sequamur’.

God bless our school and all our endeavors in making this truly a home away from home for all those that are fortunate to be educated here.

“Upward! The old School calls”.
