Cultivating debating skills in Paulites, develops their ability to express their opinions and views clearly in public confidently. Debating is a skill that teaches you how best to formulate arguments, to do research and be well prepared, and to verbalize the thoughts firmly and persuasively. This is what exactly our boys have learnt in the course of the three rounds of exciting debating competition.

‘Money can buy happiness ‘ was the first topic. Cable House was for the motion while Betten House was against the motion. The motion was dropped. Ishan Singh from Betten was adjudged the best speaker.

The second topic was ‘Smart technology is making us dumb’ Westcott House was for the motion while Anderson House was against the motion. The motion was once again dropped . Sayantan Das from Westcott was adjudged the best speaker.

The winner of ‘2022 Debating cup’ was won by Anderson House. The first runners up was Westcott house and the second runners up was Betten House.
